Solar Shading Laminated Glass / Cool Seifer
For heat‑absorbing glass, the apparent color and solar control performance change depending on the glass thickness. By contrast, Cool Seifer uses an interlayer with solar control function, so both appearance and performance remain almost unchanged even if glass thickness is varied. You can freely select thickness according to installation location and application.
General heat‑absorbing glass blocks about 80% of near‑infrared rays, but still allows almost half of the mid‑infrared range (1,500–2,500 nm), which is perceived as uncomfortable radiant heat, to pass through. Cool Seifer blocks almost all of this mid‑infrared range, and the high solar‑shading / high‑reflection type blocks more than 90% of near‑infrared rays as well, greatly reducing discomfort from strong sunlight.
Despite its excellent infrared blocking capability, even the high solar‑shading type of Cool Seifer has visible light transmittance of 70% or more, and the high‑ transparency type exceeds 80%, allowing plenty of daylight into the interior.

- Compared with ordinary laminated glass, Cool Seifer has higher solar absorption. Please conduct sufficient study and take measures regarding thermal breakage.
- Cool Seifer is a laminated glass specialized in infrared blocking. Its thermal insulation performance is equivalent to float glass, and it does not prevent condensation.
