HS Seifer has roughly twice the strength of ordinary glass. This allows the glass thickness to be reduced by one rank, leading to a weight reduction of about 5 kg/m².

By adjusting the stress level, HS Seifer is designed so that, in the unlikely event of breakage, the fracture pattern is closer to that of ordinary glass and helps reduce the risk of glass falling out of the frame. Using safety film or laminated glass together is even more effective.

• Cutting or processing after manufacture is not possible. Please specify dimensions and shapes accurately when ordering.
• Wired, wired‑mesh, and patterned glass cannot be processed into HS Seifer.
• Due to the heat‑treatment process, images seen through the glass may appear more distorted than through ordinary glass.
• For fall‑prevention, we recommend using safety film or combining HS Seifer with laminated glass.
